You’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious or depressed; weighed down by hurt, shame and insecurity, and feeling “not enough.” You’ve been thinking, if you just do more, things will get better, but they aren’t and it’s impacting your relationships, your work and yourself. You are not alone. I’ve worked with many others with these same concerns.
Together we can work towards increasing your kindness towards yourself, helping you to feel more worthy, more calm and more confident. Together we’ll figure out the values that are important to you, and help you work towards trusting yourself and the strengths that you already hold that can help you to move forward with hope.
Individual Counselling
You are having difficulties with communication and are wanting to resolve conflict. Perhaps you are wanting to rebuild trust that has been broken. You may be adjusting to life transitions and are looking for support to cope with the stress and impact.
We’ll work together to build tools to help you move towards a satisfying and committed relationship, built on shared values. I work from a Gottman model to help you learn tools backed by research for having a stronger, healthier relationship.
Check out the Gottman blog for some tools to put into practice.
I am also a facilitator with Prepare/Enrich and provide pre-marital counselling.
Couples & Family Counselling
You’ve been through traumatic situations in relationships and perhaps with yourself. You may find yourself numbing yourself from your feelings and memories in ways that don’t seem helpful to you anymore. You live with the effects of intergenerational trauma from the legacy of residential schools in Canada.
You want to live a full and meaningful life, with healthy relationships and kindness towards yourself. A life where the impacts of past trauma do not hold as much weight
Consider working with me. I strive to take a stance of cultural humility, working to walk alongside you toward healing. We can be curious about the ways connecting with your culture can be a strength and can help you on the journey towards moving forward.
I completed an undergrad minor in Native Studies, completed training in an indigenous strengths-based model of therapy, and continue to participate in ongoing learning each year.

You are considering registration as a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta and looking for a supervisor who will be the right fit to support you towards independent practice in psychology. Learn more to see if we may be a good fit to work together.
I believe that supervision is an area of competence, not just something to do once you've been practicing for a certain number of years. I have completed the Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision from the University of Calgary, as well as taken ongoing supervision trainings from world experts in supervision including Carol Falender and Rodney Goodyear. I've supervised over 20 provisional psychologists, and many more graduate students. I provide support through the whole process, from navigating steps with CAP, to building competence in case conceptualization, strong ethical practice, support with the EPPP and LEAP, and development as the "person of the therapist."
Providing external supervision, online/telephone, in-person, and onsite supervision; as well as monthly group supervision with other provisional psychologists. I also am on the PAA's Supervision Community of Practice Executive, working to support and build the capacity of other supervisors in psychology across the provice.
Please be in touch to learn about availability and see if we may be a good fit to work together.
